Morning Dash or: The Love of Two Smoothies & Why I Made Them in the Bathroom.


 

Yesterday morning was crazy busy with me up at 3:45 a.m. to get ready for work.  I had been contemplating making two smoothies for both my breakfast and lunch for the day’s 12 hour shift. Seriously, it was my last conscious thought the previous night

 

Well, at 4 o’clock in the morning the house is usually still asleep, and that blender that I love so much, sounds like a rocket going off. This is a problem. How am I supposed to get my smoothies for breakfast and lunch? To the bathroom I go!

This post could go on forever about the benefits of exercise so I am limiting it to just a handful. Perhaps in the future I will do a 101 reasons to exercise…

  • Increase and muscular strength and flexibility in range of joint motion.
  • Strengthens your joints and decreases your chances of injury. It improves your posture and your balance as well.
  • It also lowers your resting heart rate and your blood pressure. Makes your heart pump more efficiently by requiring less blood to go through its regular motions. It helps your body control the way fats are processed and reduces your risk of heart disease.
  • You can improve your immune function, so you have less sick days and it can help with digestion and staying regular.
